So I wanted to treat my fiancee to a new laptop for an early christmas present, I shopped around but was then wowed by an offer on Evesham Technology’s eBay shop. A great spec, far superior to anything else I could get for that price. So me being me, I bought it.
Next day, it arrived. Nice quick delivery. I had a play, when I first got it it had a blue screen, but then seemed fine. Then I tried to play a game… o dear. The system went boiling hot until locking up, every time, whatever game.
It had to go back, it had a 7 day returns policy, it was however Friday night, and no-one was in office until Monday. So i kept my laptop for the weekend, and mailed them just in time for Monday morning. Then the fun really began…

O dear, in less than 10 hours its my final (and only) exam in the HND Computing course, I am dreading it. I’ve worked extreemely hard this year, and produced first class work in all my assignments (for example the imaginary e-commerce site i made, I’d hate to cock it up now.
Anyway, this is the last exam, in Object orientated programming. I’m quite good at it, but I get really bad nerves in exams + with my luck Ill go hypoglycemic or something.
Wish me luck…
Wordpress 2.2 is now out, with some great features such as built in widgets. Check it out.
Just a head-up that the Download monitor, spam stopper, and contact form, all function fine and dandy.
I saw this “link train” idea in my technorati incoming links, and I’m afraid I could resist doing it too. The idea is to build your number of “favourites” on Technorati and discover some new blogs in the process.
I’ve added some of my faves to the list, lets see where this goes.
Read more for the rules and to continue the train.
The other day Mike Cherim informed me that usability legend Jeffrey Zeldman is using my wordpress comment spam stopper plugin on his site. Now I’ve seen it styled nicely and integrated into the comment form there. There you go, proof it must be good
Download it right now here.

From Mike C - I made several small modifications in the wp-gbcf_form.php to even further enhance security. I also modified the mail header to extract the character set from the blog settings instead of hard-coding it. It was hard-coded utf-8, and on most blogs will remain as such, but now that can be modified if the webmaster has selected another charset for their blog. The documentation file, wp-gbcf_help.php, was also updated.
You can download the new version here.
An updated version has been released. In the wp-gbcf_form.php file the blockquote’s cite attribute in the success result was changed, the “Referrer Mismatch” error was modified, the random exploit distribution codes were changed, and mail function detection was added to help users determine if they can use the form.
You can download the new version here.
A few bug fixes courtesy of Mr Cherim. You can download the new version here. Enjoy.
In other plugin news, the new maillist has been delayed, but download monitor is currently being updated. Check back soon for the update.
