The new Blue Anvil is here, version 4 to be exact. Ive also updated wordpress to 2.1 Ella, alas I’ve had to lose some of the old comments though, so sorry if yours has vanished.
So, with a cleaner interface, and a nice new style, version 4 arrives, but how did it get here? The following post contains screen-shots of the ancient blue anvils, and some are nasty…
Blue Anvil 1
At the time I thought this was good? What was I on!! See kids, don’t do drugs.
Blue Anvil 2
Very dark and dreary, possibly caused by the depression of making such a crappy version1.
Blue Anvil 3
Getting better, my first wordpress implementation incorporating good web standards and pure CSS; no tables.
After that I continued pimping version 3 to the rim, but I felt it was too cluttered and hard to use so I destroyed it. Actually I was a bit hasty in destroying it, so no screen shots left. But hey, version 4 is here and so far I like it!

Thanks Will! Ive gone for mostly simplicity this time round for speed. And found a new host because Godaddy is the slowest host I’ve ever encountered.

Just wait until ten years time when you’re showing your readers a screenshot of this and saying “What the hell was I smoking?” Because, I don’t know, there’s more than one colour on this…
Nevertheless, while we’re still in this decade, it’s a great design, certainly one of the top designs out there at the moment. Good job.
