Download monitor gets wordpress 2.7 support and new features
Download monitor has been updated for use with wordpress 2.7. Don’t worry if you have not upgraded wordpress, it still works with 2.3+.
New features include a uploader on the write post screen (2.6+) and ‘formats’ which allow you to define formats to output the download links.
Hope you find it useful, you can get it here.
Localization files should be added soon (I’m contacting the translators now).

Ditto on the “Invalid Add” error. My zipfile that I’m attempting to upload is only 9 MB in size. I’ve tried it with both firefox and IE6. thanks!

Hi Mike,
Great plugin. So far it works seamlessly here.
I have 40+ files, so the Manage Downloads page consists of five subpages. Any chance that you could either add a search function or allow the user to specify the number of download files to display on each subpage?
Thank you very much for your consideration.

I just cannot get this download counter to not appear when i’m using an image.
1. when i use this:
[download#3#image]the download counter appears…
2. so what I did was create a custom output called “universal”
<a href="”{url}”" rel="nofollow"></a>3. when i do the following
[download#3#universal]and the actual code appears…
4. I’ve tried:
[download#3#image#nohits]and the actual code appears…
What am I doing wrong? And why is the counter visible by default. That should be an option to turn it on.

Hi,
Thanks for a great plug-in.
Thought I’d suggest a potential bug when a wordpress blog is not served from the root directory of a blog-site. This revolves around the difference between the siteurl and the wpurl options.
I host my blog from http://jbablog.com, but the wordpress folder is at http://jbablog.com/wp. You’re mod_rewrite rules rite to the /.htaccess file of the site, as though the .htaccess file is in /wp/.htaccess.
The fix is actually two-fold, when wpurl is different to siteurl:
1. use the full path for the rules: ^/wp/download/(.*)
2. add [L] to the end of the rule, so the generic wordpress redirect doesn’t gobble the download url.

Oh, and thank you very much for the Search download-button! If you would localize this button, it would be perfect!
I have, by the way, added an explain.gif to the Danish zip with two Danish headers.
